VAT Relief

In order to waive VAT on your purchase, the government requires a simple declaration regarding your disability at the time of ordering. No proof is needed. We only require the name and address of the person the item is for. No doctor's letter or reference numbers are necessary.

Those who are chronically sick or disabled do not have to pay VAT on certain products for personal or domestic use.

All our mobility scooters are designed to meet the needs of those with a disability and are certified as Class 1 Medical Devices.

Our products are eligible for VAT relief if purchased for personal use by someone who is chronically sick or disabled. This includes physical or mental impairments with long-term adverse effects or chronic conditions.

Common accepted conditions include:

  • Arthritis
  • C.O.P.D
  • Dementia
  • Diabetes
  • Emphysema
  • Heart Disease
  • Stroke

You do not need to be registered disabled or claim benefits to qualify. HMRC permission is not required, but consult your doctor if unsure.

Our advisors will guide you through the VAT relief process. VAT relief also applies to spares, repairs, maintenance, and accessories. When ordering online, tick the VAT exemption box to adjust your order amount automatically.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate information and avoid false declarations.
